    WELCOME TO THE SCIRE


    SCIRE (Self-Contained Industrial-Residential Environment) is a +Weird, Dungeon-Horror Megacity game where players assume the roles of residents and corporations during a lockdown triggered by a bizarre event that begins mutating the residents in bizarre ways.

     


    Using a streamlines version of CBR+PNK and the +WEIRD Supplement, up to 60 players split across 10 groups explore the transformed SCIRE to prevent (or accelerate) a looming doomsday scenario. 

    Choose from diverse crews, including Gangs, Heist Crews, Corpo Security, Sanitation Workers, Performers, Rockers, Cultists, and Journalists, each with unique objectives! 


    Timed Broadcasts reshape the city, while powerful entities - The Dragon, The Lich, The Goddess, and Earl the Broker - emerge to tempt the players with boons. These entities are played by MVPS in full cosplay, each with their own mechanics and secret agendas.

    Uncover the mystery. Mark your allegiances. Scheme, betray, and survive the lockdown. Dozens of storylines unfold, but yours matters most.

    GAMEPLAY 

    SCIRE is a megagame written by Graham Gentz and Ray Chou, and powered by a stripped down version CBR+PNK with most crews beginning in a single zone with a self-defined crew objective.

    Each of the eight zones has its own GM, while additional asynchronous cyber-crews operate in the digital network and are able to influence and communicate with the rest of the city. 


    As the game progresses, MVPs arrive to tempt the crews with power and influence. Each carries a unique agenda and set of mechanics that push the SCIRE toward transformation (or collapse).


    Eventually, the zones reconnect, letting crews interact, cooperate, or clash directly. The ending depends entirely on the players: who they side with, what they achieve, and what they're willing to sacrifice.

    This is part of the PAX Unplugged 2025 brought to you by Mythworks. In addition to the event ticket, badges to the PAX Unplugged convention are required to attend the event and can be purchased here.

    Once registered, a short questionaire will be sent to Players to help sort Crew Roles.
