Hey Everyone,
Ray here. We've had quite the response from our post about Slugblaster: GOTY being delayed - thank you all for your kind words, comments, and feedback. It really warms our hearts to see so much positivity out there in these difficult times. That said, there were a lot of great questions posted in the comments, so I wanted to address them here in a separate post for maximum visibility. Here goes...
What does it mean for your order?
Right now, nothing except delays. We think we can get the books if/when the tariffs lower down to a more reasonable level. We don't think blanket 145% tariffs is sustainable and hopefully cooler heads will prevail. We're looking into maybe first shipping the books into Canada in the meantime and then bringing them down across the border when the tariffs go down. That's just one of dozens of scenarios we've tried to work out in the past few weeks. Believe me, we're doing everything we can to bring these books across.
Can I still get a refund?
Absolutely! If you would like a refund, please reach out to us at: support@myth.works.Β
Can't you just import Slugblaster as a book?
For Game of the Year, definitively no because it's a boxed set with components like dice included, and we previously imported it through HS 9504, meaning even if we thought we could import it as a book, it would be very easy to spot that we had previously imported this particular product under a different code. That would be incredibly risky... so we're not doing that.
What about if I just ordered a book (Slugblaster: Core)? Aren't books exempt from tariffs?Β
Yes, you're correct! However, this is a logistics question. We printed 2,000 books and 6,000 boxed sets, which are much bigger volume-wise than just the books. It makes sense from a cost standpoint to ship everything together in one container, but we have looked into shipping the books first and may still do that... even though it would mean additional costs logistically as LCL (less than container) is significantly more expensive pro-rated than one full container, and also more likely to run into CPB (Customs Border Patrol) inspections, etc based on what we're hearing - EVEN THOUGH it's a book classified under 4909. As other commenters have posted, we just don't know until things cross the border.
That said, we are looking into this and it's a constantly evolving situation. If it looks like we'll be delayed for a lot longer, we may just go with this option for the books, and even look into dismantling the already made GOTY additions to take out the books and ship only those.Β
What about Europe?
Slugblaster: GOTY is actually available in Europe right now. We have inventory in both UK and Germany. It's the reprint for North America that is specifically held up.

Thank you all again for the comments. Keep them coming! Happy to answer any questions about the situation you may have.Β
